As a Finance Assistant, you will support our Finance Team in all areas of day‑to‑day accounting as well as in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. You bring solid knowledge of HGB and US GAAP and have a strong understanding of German tax regulations. In addition, your analyses and reporting activities actively contribute to the company’s financial steering.
You will handle a wide variety of tasks and work independently.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings under HGB and US GAAP
• Support day‑to‑day financial accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
• Analyze margins, variances, and trends to support management decision‑making
• Perform reconciliations, including intercompany and general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare reports, financial analyses, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Support tax-related matters, especially German VAT and income tax
• Contribute to process improvements within accounting and finance
• Communicate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal departments
• Collaborate closely with the local Finance Team

WHAT IS IMPORTANT FOR US:

• Accounting background with a Bachelor’s degree or comparable commercial qualification required
• 3–5 years of experience in the above-mentioned areas, ideally in an international environment
• Knowledge of local statutory and tax reporting requirements is essential
• Strong knowledge of accounting under HGB and US GAAP
• Solid understanding of German tax regulations, especially VAT
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (preferably proALPHA)
• Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical mindset and high numerical competence
• Independent, structured, and precise working style
• Ability to develop clear action plans
• Attention to detail, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills
• Ability to work reliably under deadlines, prioritize tasks, and deliver results on time
• Can meet commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity
• Self-starting with good organizational skills and quality to motivate colleagues
• Ability to thrive in an international, fast‑paced, and demanding team-oriented environment
