the Role & Team

Join the WebChannel (Client Facing Applications) engineering team, responsible for the customer-facing platform, APIs, and CMS integrations that let IDC clients and internal teams access IDC's research and data products.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain the WebChannel platform's applications, APIs, and CMS integrations.
• Use AI-assisted development (Claude Code) throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality, customer-facing products.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical and security issues affecting the webchannel estate.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for code, APIs, and software systems.
• Implement secure coding practices to safeguard customer and employee data.
• Collaborate with the team lead on planning and prioritizing platform and security remediation work

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of commercial experience in programming in Java.
• Experience developing in Angular.
• Experience with microservices architecture and API design.
• Experience creating automated tests.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills; adaptability to learn new technologies.
• Desired work model: Hybrid.
• Communicative proficiency in both English and Czech (B2+).
