IT System Engineer Linux (Remote Work - all CZ)

The role offers the possibility of remote work, while requiring training and occasional on-site visits in Germany.

Your tasks

• Further development and operation of the Linux infrastructure (server) under Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS and ubuntu based on the requirements of our customer
• Collaboration in the area of Linux server design and lifecycle management including provisioning, patch and release management, configuration management, monitoring, backup and recovery, as well as their continuous maintenance and improvement (quality assurance).
• Support for continuous development based on the latest technologies and processes
• Error analysis and rectification of the systems via remote access on the basis of submitted tickets, telephone support requests, and individual project orders
• Ensuring the functionality, stability and efficiency of the operating system and operating system-related software of the Linux-based servers (physical and virtual systems)
• Create and maintain scripts and Ansible playbooks to automate recurring tasks
• Administration and management of central services
• Creation and maintenance of documentation in German

Professional requirements:

• Several years of professional experience and very good knowledge in the engineering and administration of Linux systems, ideally RH servers (Cloud & On Prem), especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS
• Very good knowledge of central services such as NFS, Samba, AutoFS, CIFS, LDAP
• Very good knowledge of Bash scripts; ideally also PHP, Perl or Python
• Very good knowledge of analyzing and creating scripts for automation with Ansible and the Ansible Automation Platform
• Very good knowledge of container platforms, Kubernetes and/or Red Hat Openshift
• Good knowledge of security technologies such as, e.g. NESSUS, FRP, SIEM, Trellix Endpoint Security Basic knowledge of the network environment (firewalls, web proxy)
• Good knowledge of virtualization technologies, e.g. Nutanix HCI/AOS, VMware
• Good knowledge of storage solutions and backup systems (e.g. NetApp)
• Basic knowledge of certification with PKI
• Experience in the analysis of performance problems (servers & storage)
• Experience in dealing with GIT

Advantageous:

• Basic knowledge of Red Hat Satellite
• Know-how in dealing with monitoring solutions (Icinga, CheckMK)
• Know-how in the field of Internet technologies and web applications (Tomcat)
• Know-how in dealing with AIX
• Know-how in dealing with HPUX
• Know-how in dealing with ubuntu
• Know-how in dealing with database technologies

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Optional: ITIL Foundation

• Alternative to Red Hat certificates: LPIC-1 to 3 (Mixed Environments)
• Optional: PSM I (Professional Scrum Master I) oder CSM (Certified ScrumMaster)
