Job Information

Accountant and Business Assistant will support the Country Controller performing assigned general ledger activities in a timely and accurate manner for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. The role also includes supporting the sales manager with the customer loyalty program.

Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Responsibility for the accuracy of incoming invoices postings
• Monitoring open items and payments
• Vendor master data management
• Review of travel expense reports of the employees
• Monitoring GL accounts and cost centers
• Support for the finance department during annual statutory audits, year-end closing, and other ad hoc tasks
• Close cooperation with Global Service Centers in India and Spain
• Administration of business loyalty program
• Administrative support for a small office (maximum of 5% of the workload)

Requirements

Education

• Economics education (university or secondary)
• Recent graduates are welcome to apply

Key Skills and Knowledge

• Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and Excel skills
• Basic experience with Power Query in Excel is a plus
• Experience with SAP is an advantage, but not required
• Responsible, proactive and solution-oriented approach
• High accuracy when managing financial and business data
• Attention to detail, organization, and focus on quality
• High level of independence
• Willingness to learn

Language skills

• Czech / Slovak – native speaker
• English – advanced (used for daily communication with colleagues abroad)
