Our client, an ambitious and fast-growing financial institution, is looking for an experienced Head of AML to lead and further develop its AML framework during an exciting phase of growth and transformation.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced AML professional who is passionate about building a strong compliance culture, driving regulatory excellence, and partnering with senior leadership to safeguard the organisation against financial crime.

Your Impact

As Head of AML, you will define and execute the Bank's AML strategy, ensuring that regulatory requirements are met while supporting the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

Working closely with Executive Management, Risk, Compliance and key business stakeholders, you will play a critical role in strengthening the Bank's financial crime prevention framework and fostering a proactive, risk-aware culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously enhance the Bank's AML framework, policies and governance
• Ensure compliance with applicable AML/CTF regulations and regulatory expectations
• Provide strategic advice to Executive Management on AML-related matters and emerging regulatory developments
• Oversee customer due diligence (CDD/KYC), transaction monitoring, sanctions and suspicious activity reporting
• Build and develop a high-performing AML team while promoting a culture of integrity and accountability
• Act as a trusted partner to regulators, auditors and internal stakeholders
• Drive AML transformation initiatives, process optimisation and the implementation of new technologies
• Monitor emerging financial crime risks and ensure the Bank remains aligned with industry best practices

Ideal Candidate

• Extensive experience in AML, Financial Crime Compliance or Compliance within the banking or financial services sector
• Strong understanding of AML/CTF regulations, sanctions, KYC/CDD and financial crime risk management
• Experience working with regulators and managing regulatory inspections
• Proven leadership experience and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent Czech and English
