Junior Key Account Manager

Working model: Hybrid (2 days per week in the Prague office, home office, and customer visits)
Reports to: Key Account Manager and Commercial & Managing Director CZ & SK

• At Perfetti Van Melle Czech Republic, we bring joy to consumers across the Czech and Slovak markets with some of the world's most beloved confectionery brands—Mentos, Chupa Chups, Smint, Alpenliebe, Fruittella, and many more. Based in Prague, our local team is part of one of the largest confectionery and chewing gum manufacturers in the world, with operations in over 150 countries.
• As our Junior Key Account Manager, you'll support one of our experienced Key Account Managers while managing your own portfolio of customers. This is a newly created position, created to develop future Key Account Managers, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their commercial career within an international FMCG business.

Your core responsibilities at a glance:
In this role, you will:

• Independently manage and grow a portfolio of customers across alternative retail channels, including non-food retailers (e.g. Rossmann), smaller retail accounts, e-commerce, petrol stations, vending operators, and drugstores.
• Support the Key Account Manager responsible for Lidl, Kaufland, and Tesco, helping drive the success of some of our most important retail partnerships.
• Identify new business opportunities and maximize the growth potential of your customer portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to deliver sustainable sales growth.
• Prepare and implement account plans in line with the company's commercial strategy and objectives.
• Monitor sales performance, analyse results, and recommend actions to improve business performance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure excellent execution and customer satisfaction.
• Work with SAP and other commercial tools to support planning, reporting, and account management.

The ideal recipe for our new Junior Key Account Manager:
Here's what we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
• Around 2–5 years of relevant commercial or Account Management experience, within FMCG, retail, or consumer goods industry.
• Understanding of sales and marketing strategy, planning processes, and the commercial drivers of business growth.
• A proactive, flexible, open-minded, and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical thinking and confidence working with sales data.
• Experience with SAP S4 is an advantage.
• MS Office strong usage (Excel, PowerPoint, Word as a minimum)
• Fluent in Czech or Slovak, with English proficiency at a minimum of B2 level.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Based in Prague or within reasonable commuting distance (approximately 40–50 km).
