The Prague Civil Society Centre is a non-profit organisation that supports and empowers civil society and independent media in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. We work to ensure that activists, journalists, and changemakers of all kinds, many of whom work under the most repressive regimes, get the support they need to push for change, be it grants, capacity building, or connections.
About the role:
As a programme officer, you’ll support the Eastern Europe and/or South Caucasus regional section and be responsible for the operational management (including the administration) of a programme and grant portfolio. Under the supervision of the senior member of the team, you’ll ensure smooth implementation of grants throughout the entire grantmaking cycle whilst developing a strong relationship with grantees. You will also have a chance to contribute to the strategic planning of the portfolio with operational insights.

The salary is based on the Prague Civil Society Centre’s salary scale, with an expected gross monthly range of CZK 48,000 – 59,000 for a full-time position (40 hours per week), depending on skills and experience.
How to apply:
Interested candidates should submit their CV in English (max. 2 pages) and a motivation letter explaining how they meet the criteria. The motivation letter should also include two professional references who can provide feedback on the candidate’s performance.
Interviews will be held in Prague. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a written test or presentation.
