Are you an accounting professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for driving financial excellence? We're looking for a Chief Accountant to oversee our accounting and tax-related operations across Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.

As our Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international financial standards across multiple entities. You will lead the accounting team, optimize financial processes, and collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Mentor and lead the local accounting team.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and other relevant standards.
• Facilitate month-end closing activities and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
• Coordinate year-end audit processes, collaborating with external auditors to ensure timely and successful audits.
• Support automation and digitalization of accounting processes within SAP and other company systems.
• Actively participate in local and global projects.

What knowledge and skills are required?

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and finance, ideally including audit experience.
• Previous experience in a multinational or regional environment with knowledge of local tax laws and accounting practices in CZ/SK/HU.
• Proficiency in SAP (ideally S4HANA).
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Be a fluent English speaker (spoken and written)
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing successful teams.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
