We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Backup/Storage Administrator to join our Shared Services team within GTO. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of enterprise backup and storage systems. You’ll lead incident resolution, infrastructure optimization, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable IT services. This is a senior-level position ideal for professionals with deep technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Carrying out incident and problem management as well as sustainable service stability for the responsible systems. Carrying out the associated root cause analyses.
Identification and implementation of optimisation measures to continuously improve the operating environment
Proactive monitoring of infrastructure components in the environment (with SCOM)
Conception of new, highly available server environments and their documentation
Planning and implementation of regular patch rollouts
Maintenance of operational documentation for the systems/domains supported
Knowledge transfer to upstream support levels (e.g. 1st and 2nd level), as well as creation of work instructions and knowledge database entries Support of the responsible systems
Supporting colleagues with problems and questions relating to the IT infrastructure used
Customer support including analysing and solving problems.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Minimum 5-8 years of experience with the following systems & tools:
Data Domain und Management System
Unity und Management System
Metro Nodes
VEEAM
Dell Mexxxx_
Brocade FC Switche
Dell OME
Professional Qualifications / Technical Skills

Security & Hardening: Server hardening (ESAE, LAPS), PKI, e-mail security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, ATP) ,
Migrations & modernisation
PowerShell & automation: provisioning, infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Terraform)
Monitoring & troubleshooting: SCOM, PRTG, Event Viewer, log file analysis
Operation of Data Domain Infrastructure
Operation of Unity Infrastructure
Operation of VEEM Infrastructure
Debugging of Storage LUN/Volumes

SoftSkills:
Very good communication skills
Fluent English

Certifications:
ITIL Foundation or similar IT service management certificates
