Position Description

This team develops our own product, targeted at highly demanding transaction processing in international banking environment – it features extreme volumes, high speed, it must be feature rich and highly available at the same time.
Our clients are mainly major international banks operating across the world. What we deliver to them is our own product featuring high-end payments processing. We are looking for a candidate to expand our team to satisfy growing international demand.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Java developer, you will join the team working on implementation for concrete customer. Your responsibilities will include:
• Work on agile development of CGI real-time payments processing platform = our unique solution for our clients in the banking industry
• Use reactive and event-driven programming
• Use distributed computing (based on IMDG Hazelcast)
• Focus on high performance and high availability as the system has to process thousands of TPS on 24x7x365 basis
• Performance tuning
• Participate in planning tasks and support team leaders in coordination of activities
• Cooperation on analysis and design of the requirements
• Take part in the local as well as the international implementation projects
• Cooperate on the maintenance and support activities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Essential Qualifications
• Knowledge of Java and JEE platforms, Spring, REST, JMS
• Advanced communication skills in English, fluent in Czech or Slovak
• Openness and willingness to learn is a must

• Spring/Spring Boot
• IMDG Hazelcast Jet
• Docker
• Kubernetes / Prometheus / Kibana
• Azure / AWS
• Application servers (Websphere/Weblogic/Tomcat)
• Oracle 12c / Cassandra / PostgreSQL
• Other tools (SCM, Build, code review, automated deployment)
• Knowledge of UNIX, Shell scripting
• Reactive and event-driven programming
