About Your Role:

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Accounting Specialist to support the Finance department in the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of the Czech and Slovak entities and to ensure accurate and timely financial data and reporting.

The position works closely with internal departments, external accounting partners and international finance teams. This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with a strong operational mindset and hands-on approach and is not afraid to be involved in day-to-day execution, including routine administrative tasks.

The following MAIN TASKS can be derived from this:

Accounting & Finance Operations

• Support day-to-day accounting and finance activities for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
• Coordinate and cooperate with internal and external accounting partners.
• Support general ledger accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Review accounting entries and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare reconciliations and support documentation for closing and reporting.
• Support preparation of statutory financial statements and audits.
• Assist with tax-related matters, particularly VAT and other relevant local tax requirements.
• Monitor selected balance sheet and P&L accounts and investigated discrepancies.

Financial Reporting & Controlling Support

• Prepare regular financial reports and analyses for the CFO and management.
• Support preparation of monthly management reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses as required.
• Support monitoring of costs, budgets and selected financial KPIs.
• Cooperate with other departments in resolving finance-related questions.

Cash Flow & Working Capital

• Support cash flow monitoring and short-term cash planning.
• Monitor receivables and payables and support follow-up activities where necessary.
• Cooperate with Sales and Supply Chain on working capital topics, including inventory and outstanding receivables.

SAP Implementation Support

• Support finance-related activities connected with the upcoming SAP implementation.
• Participate in testing, data checks and process improvements.
• Help ensure correct financial data and processes within SAP.
• Support users in resolving day-to-day finance-related system issues.

Processes & Compliance

• Ensure that accounting activities follow internal company policies and local requirements.
• Support the improvement and standardization of finance and accounting processes.
• Maintain finance documentation and internal controls within the assigned area.
• Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The ideal Candidate (m/f/d) has:

• University or secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Fluent knowledge in written and spoken Czech/Slovak and English (English: B2/C1 minimum, German would be a great advantage).
• Good knowledge of Czech accounting principles and tax requirements (experience with Slovak accounting or finance processes is an advantage).
• Experience with month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Solid experience with SAP or another ERP system.
• Local accounting certification and professional qualifications are preferable.
• Professional written and oral communication skills.
• Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and financial reporting software.

• Willing to learn and develop within the Finance area.
• Comfortable working in an international environment.
