Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java + React/Node)

Pracovní nabídka

Do you want to design and code systems that effortlessly handle millions of daily transactions worldwide? Looking to work on high-impact architecture while retaining engineering freedom and a human-centered culture?

At MoroSystems, we build top-tier software for leading Czech and international clients. For our key project with a globally renowned e-commerce giant, we are looking for a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer to strengthen their purchase conversion and transactional teams. You will take ownership of cross-channel communication systems—handling everything from purchase conversions to mission-critical, real-time transactional messaging.

We are not looking for a team lead or people manager. We need a Senior Engineer (Individual Contributor) -someone who loves clean code, smart architecture, and thrives on solving complex distributed system challenges on a global scale.

What will you work on & what can you expect?

• Global e-commerce at massive scale: You will build and scale high-load backends and integrations for millions of active users daily around the globe.
• High engineering autonomy: Zero micromanagement. We expect proactivity, analytical thinking, contextual architectural design, and the ability to own features end-to-end—from initial idea to production deployment.
• Daily international collaboration: You will be an equal engineering partner to tech leads and architects based in North America (Toronto) and Prague.

What are we looking for?

• Expert-level Backend: Java (expert level), Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, distributed systems architecture, and complex debugging. Java is your native language.
• Hands-on Front-End experience: HTML/CSS and active, real-world experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Node.js, or similar modern JS/TS frameworks).
• Fluent English at C1 level: This isn't about passively reading Jira tickets. We need someone who thinks in English. You must be able to seamlessly switch to English and confidently lead a hour-long technical debate, defend architectural decisions, and articulate complex ideas with North American tech leads without searching for words.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience: You have years of writing production code and designing complex systems under your belt (experience in e-commerce, fintech, or high-traffic systems is a huge plus).
• Pure Engineering Mindset (Individual Contributor): You enjoy architecture, clean code, Git, Agile practices, code reviews, and delivering a great product. You don't need or want to manage people—your domain is engineering excellence.
• Prague Location & Onboarding: We are looking for someone based in Prague or within commuting distance. For onboarding and initial alignment, we expect 3 days a week on-site in our Prague office (12 days/month), with significantly higher remote flexibility once you are fully onboarded.

You’ll love working with us if you enjoy:

• Working in a company with a strong vision: We want our way of collaboration to become a brand-new standard that companies around the world will want to adopt.
• Open communication: Have an idea for improvement? Feel free to share it with Tom (our CEO) over coffee in the kitchen.
• Learning from others & sharing knowledge: We learn from each other and teach others as well. We share new knowledge, project updates, and insights from conferences across the company, speak at MeetUps, record podcasts, and write technical articles.
• Sharing hobbies and discovering new ones: We regularly organize badminton and gaming tournaments, hackathons, board game nights, charity runs, cycling trips, mountain hikes, or Spartan Race training… and the list goes on.
• Freedom of choice: Lenovo or Mac; macOS, Windows, or Linux… it’s entirely up to you.
• Flexible working hours: Need to wrap up early or sleep in for an hour (or four) in the morning? As long as you don't have meetings and clients aren't waiting on you, why not?
• Combining office life with home office: We have beautiful offices where we love to hang out, enjoy great coffee, team lunches, and connect with awesome colleagues. If you need to work from home from time to time, it’s never a problem.
