Role summary: Product Manager - Handheld Optics drives the development and growth of Meopta's portfolio of hand-held optical devices for military, law enforcement, sport shooting, and hunting markets. The role combines product strategy, portfolio management, supplier development, commercial negotiations, market analysis, and customer engagement to deliver products that meet user requirements and achieve business goals.

Your role:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers for military and sport optics products.
• Lead commercial negotiations regarding pricing, terms, and supplier agreements.
• Manage product sourcing projects from supplier selection through sample evaluation and approval.
• Maintain and develop a structured supplier database, including pricing, capabilities, and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to translate market and customer requirements into sourcing strategies.
• Support the growth and management of the military and sport optics product portfolio.
• Work closely with suppliers on technical specifications, product requirements, and quality standards.
• Support sales teams during tenders, customer demonstrations, and distributor engagements.
• Contribute to marketing and exhibition activity, including catalogue content and demo materials
• Train clients directly on the use, features, and handling of our products, including live demonstrations where required.

Your profile:

• Secondary school or university degree; field of study is not critical.
• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or a comparable commercial role.
• Fluent English and Czech communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to negotiate directly with international suppliers and customers.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to independently manage supplier relationships from end to end.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
• Motivation to learn technical product details and develop expertise in the optics industry.
• Military background, optics industry experience, or experience within defence or sporting goods sectors is an advantage, but not required.

What is a plus:

• Valid firearm license required.
• Knowledge of optics, electro-optical devices, tactical equipment, defense, sporting goods, or related industries is an advantage.
• Czech native or professional proficiency is preferred.
