Arleon is a consumer electronics wholesale and distribution company serving customers across Europe.

Over the last 18 months, we have achieved significant growth, more than doubling the number of shipments we handle.

To support this growth, we are looking for an experienced logistics professional to become the third member of our logistics department.

Your responsibilities

Since day 1:
Daily logistics operations

• Organise inbound and outbound shipments, including booking trucks and coordinating collections and deliveries.
• Compare transport options and negotiate rates while considering reliability, transit times and cargo security.
• Coordinate shipment readiness and delivery requirements with suppliers, customers, sales, purchasing and the warehouse.
• Monitor shipments, resolve delays and communicate risks early.
• Oversee accurate transport documentation, proof of delivery and the follow-up of transport claims.

Logistics providers and cost control

• Identify, assess and onboard reliable carriers and freight forwarders.
• Develop alternative providers for important routes and peak periods.
• Negotiate rates, capacity commitments and service conditions.
• Maintain clear carrier agreements and rate information.
• Review provider performance and address recurring service problems.
• Identify savings through better planning, consolidation, provider selection and control of additional charges.

After 4-6 months:
Processes and systems

• Review current workflows and identify bottlenecks, duplicated work and sources of errors.
• Introduce clear procedures, responsibilities, deadlines and escalation rules.
• Improve shipment visibility.
• Work with the ERP administrator and IT to reduce repetitive work and implement useful omation.
• Establish simple reporting on transport costs, delivery performance, errors and workload.
• Implement improvements and verify that they deliver measurable results.
  
  

Career perspective in 6-12 months

• Lead and support the logistics team, setting priorities and distributing work effectively.
• Establish clear ownership of tasks and reliable handovers.
• Train colleagues and arrange backup coverage during absences.
• Improve cooperation between logistics and other departments.
• Plan team capacity as the business grows.
  
  

What we are looking for

Initially, we expect a hands-on approach. You will be directly involved in daily shipment coordination, helping to reduce the immediate workload of the team, booking transport, and negotiating with carriers.

At the same time, we are looking for someone who can help us prepare for the next stage of growth by improving our logistics processes, increasing efficiency, and ensuring that our operations can scale together with the business.

Within 6 -12 months, there is an opportunity to take on a leadership role and potentially lead the logistics team.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with the CEO and make a visible difference in how the company operates.

We expect

• At least 3 years of relevant logistics experience; 5+ years is preferred.
• Practical experience organising international transport, particularly European road freight.
• Proven experience negotiating with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Evidence of successfully improving processes, reducing costs or increasing operational efficiency.
• Experience leading people or taking responsibility for team coordination and operational improvements.
• Confidence working with Excel and ERP systems.
• Working knowledge of transport documentation, Incoterms and coordination with customs brokers.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in English; Czech sufficient for local operational coordination.
• An organised, analytical and practical approach, with the ability to prioritise and follow through.
• Willingness to participate in daily operations while taking responsibility for longer-term improvements.
• Experience with consumer electronics, high-value cargo, retailer delivery requirements, cargo claims or transport system integrations would be an advantage.
