Pracovní nabídka
We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Control Algorithm Engineer to design, implement, and deploy advanced control and estimation strategies for next-generation aerospace applications. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level mathematical theory and real-world embedded hardware, taking algorithms from initial concept through to live operational deployment.
This position is ideal for an engineer with a deep foundation in control theory, strong algorithmic thinking, and a passion for seeing their code fly. You will contribute to the full development lifecycle, including design, calibration, robustification, and testing, and ensure our algorithms perform robustly against real-world phenomena.
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
• End-to-End Algorithm Development: Design, implement, calibrate, and test control algorithms, state estimation algorithms, and models specifically for aerospace systems.
• Real-World Deployment: Transition algorithms from simulation to live hardware, optimizing them to run efficiently within the constraints of deployment HW.
• Robustness & Optimization: Robustify the algorithms against real-world disturbances using advanced robustification and adaptive control techniques.
• Continuous Evolution: Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and iterative improvements to deployed functionalities.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
• Education: University degree (Master's) in Control Engineering, Mathematical Modeling, Numerical Optimization, or a highly related quantitative field.
• Software & Programming: Strong proficiency in scripting languages for modeling and simulation (MATLAB or Python), at least basic knowledge of languages suitable for embedded platforms (C++).
• Technical Core: Strong foundational knowledge of classic and advanced control and estimation frameworks:
• Base: PID, Luenberger observers, Kalman filters.
• Advanced: MPC, LQ control, nonlinear control, optimal control, MHE.
• System Modeling: Practical understanding of model calibration, system identification, and parameter estimation approaches (e.g., Least Squares, multistep prediction error fitting).
• Robust Control: Familiarity with active disturbance rejection and adaptive control to handle real-world uncertainties and disturbances.
• Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with control, estimation, and modeling for complex, multivariable systems.
• Industry Background: Proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying real-life control systems in aerospace, automotive, process control or a similarly rigorous industry.
• Engineering Mindset: Exceptional algorithmic thinking, solid programming basis, and a clear understanding of the trade-offs between different algorithmic approaches when constrained by target hardware.
• Bonus Points: Experience with UAV piloting is a plus
