Business & Marketing Strategy

Develop and communicate the vision and strategy for assigned business ensuring team engagement.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and opportunities; recommend priorities and implement solutions.
Lead planning and execution of marketing and sales initiatives to achieve business objectives.
Drive sales team development to meet ambitious targets and adapt to change.
 

Strategy Execution / Commercial Implementation

• Accountable for achieving financial targets and budget performance.
• Provide accurate business reporting and implement sales, marketing, pricing, and product launch plans.
• Monitor project progress, address deviations, and implement corrective or contingency actions.

Team & People Leadership

• Promote BD values and provide coaching to enhance team performance.
• Build organizational capabilities to support long-term business goals.
• Attract, retain, and develop talent; create succession plans for critical roles.

Customer Relationship Management

• Represent the company in customer interactions, building strong, long-term relationships.
• Support the team in identifying customer needs and executing sales plans.
• Maintain relationships with key accounts, opinion leaders, and decision-makers.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Foster collaboration across functions and affiliates, promoting synergies and efficiency.
• Define processes that ensure effective teamwork and minimize conflicts.

Change & Innovation

• Identify strategic change needs and drive innovative initiatives.
• Communicate priorities and apply best practices in change management.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with BD’s Code of Conduct and internal procedures.
• Complete timely reporting and maintain accurate HR system data.
• Support product complaint handling and safety-related processes.

Profile:

• Higher education / university degree in a relevant field.
• 8–12 years of experience in sales and marketing, including at least 2 years in a sales team management role.
• Proven track record of success in the medical devices and/or pharmaceutical market.
• Fluency in English and other language as Czech, Croatian, Romanian.
• Business Acumen - combines strong business fundamentals with deep knowledge of medical devices industry (knowledge of diagnostic market will be an asset); demonstrates high standards of business ethics.
• Executing for Results - consistently strives to exceed challenging goals and targets; drives self and others to deliver results; effectively manages and allocates human and financial resources to achieve business plans; sets clear, ambitious goals and timelines, conveys urgency, and ensures timely resolution of issues.
• Setting Strategy - develops competitive and breakthrough strategies for the assigned business and in the assigned territory; accurately anticipates trends and future consequences; translates vision into clear, actionable plans; learns quickly and adapts business models to a dynamic market and regulatory environment.
• Leading Teams - builds and organizes high-performing teams; keeps focus on key business metrics; actively engages in sourcing, developing, and retaining top talent; quickly embraces and promotes BD values.
• Building Relationships & Influencing - gains support and cooperation through effective engagement; understands diverse perspectives and seeks win-win solutions; navigates organizational complexity using practical, perceptive approaches.
• Learning Agility - embraces new, complex, and ambiguous situations; adapts quickly and identifies success drivers; learns from experience, shares knowledge, and applies insights to new challenges.
• Other Requirements - willingness to travel (3–4 days per week for co-travels) and occasional international trips.
