Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial road freight professional to lead the development and implementation of a European Road Freight Division. This is a strategic leadership role for an individual with deep expertise across all aspects of road transportation, including Full Truck Load (FTL), Less-than-Truckload (LTL), Special Transport, Brokerage, and European haulage operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling a centralized road freight operation that will ultimately support multiple offices across Europe. This role requires a strong combination of operational expertise, commercial acumen, industry relationships, and people leadership.

We are looking for someone who not only understands how road freight operations function but also has the vision, creativity, and practical experience to build a best-in-class European road freight network.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development

• Develop and execute the strategy for establishing and growing the European Road Freight Division.
• Design scalable operational processes, procedures, and service offerings across Europe.
• Support the integration of road freight services into the broader freight forwarding organization.
• Identify growth opportunities and new service solutions within the European road transport market.
• Build a roadmap for creating a centralized road freight operation serving all company offices.

Network & Carrier Development

• Develop and maintain a strong network of carriers, brokers, subcontractors, and logistics partners throughout Europe.
• Establish strategic partnerships to support FTL, LTL, Special Transport, and brokerage activities.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and service contracts with transport providers.
• Continuously evaluate market opportunities, capacity availability, and network performance.

Operational Leadership

• Oversee the development and execution of road freight operations across Europe.
• Ensure operational excellence, service quality, compliance, and profitability.
• Implement best practices for planning, procurement, carrier management, and transportation execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
• Act as the subject matter expert and internal leader for all road freight-related activities.
• Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate closely with senior management to translate strategic objectives into operational execution.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders across multiple offices and countries.
• Support commercial teams with market intelligence, operational expertise, and customer solutions.
• Represent the company within the European logistics and transportation industry.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in European road freight and transportation management.
• Proven expertise across FTL, LTL, Special Transport, Brokerage, and European transport networks.
• Demonstrated success in building, developing, or transforming road freight operations.
• Strong understanding of the European transportation market, regulations, and carrier landscape.
• Established network of industry contacts, carriers, brokers, and logistics providers throughout Europe.
• Experience managing teams and leading organizational change.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluent English and Czech, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within an international freight forwarding or logistics organization.
• Track record of establishing new transport products, divisions, or service lines.
• Knowledge of local haulage operations and European distribution networks.
• Experience leading multi-country operations and centralized service models
