Senior leadership role at ALFA 3, a.s.

ALFA 3, a.s. is a Czech manufacturer with more than 30 years of history. We design,
produce, and supply metal furniture, charging systems, storage systems, and parcel
lockers to customers in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Over the next five years, we intend to double our revenue, strengthen our export
business, and expand significantly across European markets.
To do that, we are hiring a commercial leader to take ownership of business
development and join the company's leadership team.
This is not a caretaker role. We are looking for someone with genuine commercial
instinct and an entrepreneurial mindset, who turns opportunities into long-term
customer relationships and major contracts.

The Role

Sales and business development

• Identify new business opportunities in the Czech Republic and abroad
• Open new markets and grow export sales
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners
• Lead negotiations at senior management level
• Prepare and close major commercial contracts
• Shape the commercial strategy and take responsibility for delivering it
• Identify new segments and growth opportunities
• Contribute to the strategic management of the company

Leading the sales team

You will lead the commercial division, covering customer care, project management, and new business acquisition. The team consists of:

• Sales staff handling customer care from inquiry through invoicing
• A project manager responsible for parcel locker deliveries
• An inside sales representative developing new business
• An external partner supporting acquisition activity

In this part of the role you will:

• Set commercial targets and priorities
• Improve sales processes and team efficiency
• Drive the acquisition of new customers
• Build a results-oriented sales culture
• Strengthen cooperation between sales, projects, engineering, production, and service
• Motivate the team to deliver against ambitious targets

Marketing and brand

• Help shape the company's marketing strategy
• Build the ALFA 3 brand at home and abroad
• Plan and evaluate marketing activity that supports customer acquisition
• Contribute to sales and marketing materials
• Support the company's presence online and offline
• Support the growth of our export and product portfolio
• Use marketing as a driver of commercial growth

Representing the company

• Travel regularly in the Czech Republic and abroad
• Attend international trade fairs, conferences, and industry events
• Present the company, its products, and completed projects
• Deliver commercial and technical presentations
• Represent ALFA 3 to customers, partners, and professional organisations

What We Are Looking For
Someone who wants to shape the future of the company and take responsibility for its
commercial growth.

Education

• A university degree in economics, business, engineering, or law is preferred
• Results, leadership ability, and a proven record in business development matter more to us than the degree itself

Experience

• At least 5 years leading a sales team in a B2B environment
• Background in a manufacturing, engineering, or project-driven company
• A track record of winning new customers and growing existing accounts
• Determination to close deals and a clear focus on results
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the willingness to own the outcome
• Experience negotiating and closing commercial contracts
• Sound understanding of the legal side of commercial relationships and contracting
• Both commercial and technical judgment, with the ability to turn a technical solution into a commercial offer
• Confidence in leading, developing, and motivating a team
• A high degree of independence, accountability, and personal integrity
• Practical experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot, and the ability to apply them to sales, marketing, market analysis, and day-to-day work
• A category B driver's license

Languages

• English at C1 or above (required): sufficient to lead negotiations, presentations, and contract discussions with international partners
• Czech at C1 or above (required): the company operates in Czech, and you will need it to lead the team and conduct negotiations internally and with Czech customers
• A further language is a strong advantage (German, French, Spanish, or other)
