Our client is a well-established international retail company with its office based in Prague.

We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll Manager who will lead payroll activities across several countries while managing an international payroll team.

Location: Prague

Start date: Ideally immediately

Your main responsibilities

• Manage payroll operations across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
• Lead and support an experienced payroll team located across different countries.
• Work closely with external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Oversee payroll activities throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and help create consistent ways of working across all supported markets.
• Cooperate with HR, Finance, Accounting and other business stakeholders on payroll-related topics.
• Set priorities, support your team in solving day-to-day challenges and encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration.

What you need to succeed

• Previous experience in Payroll (required).
• At least 3 years of experience leading and developing a team.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Retail payroll experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience cooperating with external payroll providers.
• Good understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Very good English (B2+) for daily communication.
• Native or fluent in one of the following languages: Czech, Slovak, Romanian or Hungarian.
