Shape the Future of Finance at EMOS

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join EMOS Group. This opportunity is suitable not only for an established Head of Accounting, but also for a strong Chief Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Deputy Head of Accounting who is ready to take the next step in their career.

In this role, you will lead accounting and tax operations for EMOS Czech Republic and Slovenia, while playing an important role in the consolidation and financial governance of the EMOS Group. You will cooperate closely with the CFO, management team, and finance colleagues across the Group.

Your Immediate Responsibilities

• Lead accounting activities in accordance with applicable legislation and internal directives
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Prepare statutory financial statements under Czech accounting standards
• Manage VAT, corporate income tax, and other tax obligations
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax advisors, and tax authorities
• Oversee asset accounting and inventory processes
• Ensure timely settlement of financial obligations
• Monitor accounting and tax legislation changes and ensure their implementation
• Manage and develop a small accounting team
• Provide accounting analyses and professional support to management
• Support the consolidation and reporting activities of the EMOS Group

• Participate in the development of shared accounting services for selected Group entities
• Act as the accounting subject-matter expert during future ERP implementation projects
• Drive process standardisation across the Group
• Identify opportunities for automation, digitalisation, and the use of modern data tools
• Strengthen internal controls and proactively identify and prevent accounting and tax risks
• Support continuous improvement of financial governance and reporting processes

Your Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role
• Team leadership experience or readiness to step into a broader leadership position
• Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, financial closing, and audit processes
• Experience in an international environment is an advantage
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and professional judgement
• Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Fluent English (spoken and written, B2+)
• Advanced MS Office skills

Experience with ERP implementations, shared service environments, automation, or finance transformation projects is welcome but not a requirement from day one.
