About the job:
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Vienna within the Finance Team in Vienna, the Cost Controller is responsible for various duties. The Cost Controller reports to the Finance Supervisor.
As Cost Controller you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Obtains food and beverage related delivery invoices from storeroom and obtains & reviews all F&B receiving documents & storeroom requisitions to prepare for payment
- Reviews & enters Invoices for Payment, verifies accuracy of pricing & extensions, ensures all potential discounts are obtained. Assists with any vendor billing issues or discrepancies.
- Audits monthly inventory records for all food and beverage items in storeroom.
- Reconciles, analyses and critiques daily food & beverage costs
- Analyses & prepares requisite reports reconciling F&B cost to F&B revenue on a daily basis to determine F&B cost percentages (for all outlets)-for various internal & external reporting
- Prepares Banquet cost analysis for all Banquet functions and reviews cover statistic
- Conducts monthly inventories of all food and beverage storerooms and outlets and compares to actual inventory totals. Investigates any discrepancies to determine cause and resolves immediately
- Prepares Journal Entries & Reports for End of month closing. Assists with all EOM reconciling for Food & Beverage
- Conducts periodic spot checks of food and beverage outlets to determine adherence to
- established production standards and procedures
- Reviews Daily Menu Items and any requisite data to ensure accurate reporting
- Assists Executive Chef and Purchasing Manager in the determination of product purchasing specifications
- Assists Food and Beverage Director and Chef in production of different price point recipe items; conducting yield tests for all menu items; determination of appropriate portion sizes; pricing of menu items that will produce acceptable food cost percentages
- Assists Beverage Manager in the determination of beverage potentials, and par stocks for storeroom and outlets
- Investigates variances between Food and Beverage potentials and actual results, recommends corrective actions when necessary
- Assists with Rooms and any other hotel cost ratios on an ongoing basis. Performs respective cost analyses accordingly.
- Other cost control duties as assigned

- The collective minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €2.263,00. There is a willingness to offer a higher salary depending on qualifications and work experience.
