Our client, a leading European logistics real estate company, is looking for an Internal Auditor to join its Group Internal Audit team in Prague.

This is not a purely control-focused role. You will review business processes across Europe, assess risks and internal controls, and propose practical improvements. The role also involves working with data analytics, automation and AI tools in audit work.

The company operates across 11 European countries, has its headquarters in Prague and employs more than 290 professionals from 25+ nationalities.

What you will do
You will join the Group Internal Audit team in Prague and gradually take part in audits across the company’s European operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• performing operational audits across the business,
• analysing business processes, data and transactions,
• assessing internal controls and identifying risks or inefficiencies,
• proposing practical recommendations for process and control improvements,
• reviewing compliance with internal policies, regulations and applicable legislation,
• preparing audit reports and presenting findings to management and internal stakeholders,
• supporting risk assessment and annual audit planning,
• cooperating with colleagues and stakeholders across European countries,
• contributing to the improvement of audit methodologies and tools,
• supporting the use of data analytics, automation and AI in audit work.

The team performs approximately 12 audit engagements per year, divided among team members. During the first year, you are not expected to lead audits fully independently. Onboarding will be gradual, with support from more experienced colleagues and increasing responsibility over time.

What we are looking for
This role may be a good fit if you already have experience in audit, controlling or a similar analytical role and want to move closer to business processes, data and practical improvement work.

You should have:

• ideally 3–5 years of relevant professional experience,
• experience in internal audit, external audit, controlling or a similar analytical / control-oriented role,
• understanding of audit methodologies, internal controls and business processes,
• strong analytical thinking and confidence working with data,
• ability to translate findings into clear and practical recommendations,
• interest in automation, digitalisation and AI tools,
• degree in finance, accounting, economics, IT or a related field,
• fluent English,
• willingness to travel within Europe, approximately up to 15% of working time.

What will help you succeed

• Experience with operational or process audits.
• Background from an international company or advisory environment.
• Experience with data analytics, BI tools, Power Apps or similar tools.
• Interest in process improvement and modern audit approaches.
• Ability to work with different stakeholders across countries and functions.
• Travel and audit organisation
• Travel represents approximately 15% of the role. It may include several international audits per year, usually lasting from a few days up to one week.
