Accountant with Finnish

On behalf of our client, an international company operating in the oil & gas industry, we are currently looking for a candidate for an Accountant role, initially focused on accounts receivable with a gradual shift towards more analytical responsibilities.

Your new role

At the beginning, you will be mainly involved in accounts receivable activities, including:

• processing bank statements, posting incoming and outgoing payments, and allocating them to customer or vendor accounts
• reviewing open items on customer accounts, correcting errors where possible, or contacting the relevant department
• preparing and posting proforma and final invoices
• handling e-mail requests from the internal client in Finnish and English
• supporting reconciliations, ad hoc reporting, and investigations

Over time, your scope will grow towards more analytical tasks, where you will:

• perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies between cash and invoicing data from several systems, not only SAP
• check open items related to dealers and stations, correct errors where possible, or contact the relevant department
• post accruals, revenue entries, and payment-related transactions

What you'll need to succeed

• good command of Finnish and English, both used on a daily basis
• previous experience in accounting, AR, or finance
• working knowledge of SAP and Excel
• attention to detail and a structured, analytical approach
• ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team

Nice to have:

• experience with reconciliations or analytical tasks
• background in a shared services or international environment
