Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager in the automotive industry to oversee and optimize our supply chain and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing the end-to-end process of supply chain management, including, planning, procurement, inventory management, transportation, and distribution of automotive parts and materials. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience in working with global suppliers and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management:
Oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, planning and demand forecasting for automotive components.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve lead times.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to meet production schedules and customer demand.
Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to forecast demand, plan procurement, and avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
Logistics & Distribution:
Manage the logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and distribution of parts.
Ensure compliance with regulations for shipping and transportation within the automotive industry.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics performance, including delivery times, costs, and customer satisfaction.
Production Planning & Coordination:
Collaborate with production teams to ensure that materials and parts are available to meet production schedules.
Work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and quality, to resolve supply chain disruptions and ensure timely production.
Analyze production requirements and adjust supply chain processes to meet changing demands.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management:
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and logistics operations to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Assess and manage risks associated with the supply chain, including supplier disruptions, transportation delays, and changes in market conditions.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology to recommend improvements in the supply chain process.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain and logistics team to ensure a high level of performance and professional growth.
Foster a collaborative environment within the team and across the organization to meet overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement in the automotive industry.
