Customer Program Manager

Main Mission of the Job / Key Expectations

The Customer Program Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of customer programs across their full lifecycle — from initial phase through qualification to ramp‑up and handover into serial production.

The role ensures effective coordination between customers, commercial teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver programs on time, within scope, cost, and quality requirements. The Customer Program Manager acts as the central integrator converting customer commitments into structured execution.

Key Responsibilities

• End‑to‑End Program Management
• Full ownership of customer programs from initiation through handover to serial production
• Accountability for program structure, governance, and delivery outcomes
• Cross‑Functional Coordination
• Close collaboration with commercial roles (KAM, Account Executive), project management, and technical teams
• Ensuring smooth and transparent communication between customers and internal stakeholders
• Program Performance Management
• Management of milestones, schedules, risks, dependencies, and changes
• Proactive issue resolution and structured escalation when required
• Qualification & Ramp‑Up Phases
• Coordination and support of product qualification phases
• Ensuring ramp‑up readiness for serial production in line with customer and internal expectations
• Technical Orientation
• Working with technical documentation (drawings, specifications, change records)
• Supporting decision‑making based on technical inputs and feasibility
• Process Improvement
• Identifying opportunities to improve project and program management practices
• Implementing best practices to strengthen customer cooperation and execution efficiency across the organization

Skills / Experience Required

• 5–10+ years of experience in managing customer or technical projects
• Background in manufacturing, technology, or engineering environments
• Experience with long‑lifecycle projects (development → qualification → production)
• Ability to read and work with technical documentation
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or technical processes
• Experience with change management
• Proven experience managing milestones, risks, and project plans
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. stage‑gate is a strong advantage)
• Strong focus on quality, cost, and delivery
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage
• MS Office and project management tools
• English: conversational to advanced level (used daily)
• Czech: minimum conversational level
