Teacher & Assistant to the Headmaster (Hybrid Role)

Cherry Tree is an innovative early years center for children aged one to six, located in the heart of Prague. We are a school defined by endless curiosity and creativity. Inspired by Forest Pedagogy, we believe nature to be another important teacher. Our goal is to provide a meaningful start to a child's educational journey through nature, ecology, art and discovery.

The Role: A Hybrid of Heart and Logic
This is a unique opportunity for an educator who loves the classroom but also has an "administrative brain" and an interest in school management. You will work directly with the school director to ensure the excellence of our program while helping manage the daily heartbeat of the school.

Pedagogical Leadership (50%)

• Curriculum Innovation: Plan and implement a curriculum inspired Forest and other pedagogies, fully aligned with the Czech Ministry of Education (RVP PV).
• Nature-Based Learning: Lead children through outdoor exploration, and environmental care.
• Conflict & Discovery: Guide children through social-emotional problem solving and complex project work.
• Classroom Flow: Handle primary care tasks with empathy, from meal times to nap periods, ensuring a calm and nurturing environment.

Operational & Administrative Support (50%)

• Assistant to the Headmaster: Act as the "right hand" to the school leadership in daily operations.
• Communication Hub: Maintain professional, warm, and constant communication with parents and external partners.
• Documentation & Improvement: Assist with administrative tasks, scheduling, and documentation required for school licensing and growth.
• Growth Mindset: Proactively identify areas for improvement in our processes and contribute creative solutions.

Requirements:

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field).
• Language: English (C1 - C2 level), Czech (C1 - C2 level)
• Experience: Proven experience in an early years environment (Reggio or Forest pedagogy experience is a huge plus).
• Skills: Strong time management, flexibility & adaptability, intrinsic motivation, solution-oriented resilience
