Our finance team is now looking for the Service Manager, External Services to join our RtR team in Ostrava, Czechia.

The Service Manager, External Services is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing and managing all outsourced financial, tax, and statutory compliance services delivered by external service providers across 20+ jurisdictions globally.

The position ensures that statutory accounting, reporting, tax filings (direct and indirect), and other local compliance obligations are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory deadlines and internal quality standards.

This role will act as the primary interface between the company and its network of external advisors, ensuring the consistency, quality, and timeliness of all outputs. It is both strategic and operational, requiring strong governance skills, deep expertise in international compliance environments, and the ability to drive performance across external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Service Governance & Oversight

• Own the end-to-end management of external service providers delivering statutory accounting, direct tax, indirect tax, and other compliance services.
• Ensure service levels, deliverables, KPIs, and SLAs are met and aligned with internal expectations.
• Implement and maintain standardized processes, controls, and documentation across all jurisdictions.
• Lead regular service review meetings with providers; track performance and escalate issues proactively.

Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Ensure that all statutory accounts, tax declarations, and other regulatory filings are submitted accurately and on time.
• Monitor changes in local compliance requirements across jurisdictions and coordinate with providers to implement updates.
• Support internal stakeholders (Finance, Tax, Legal) in risk assessment and mitigation related to external compliance activities.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

• Drive harmonization and continuous improvement of processes across countries and service providers.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency (automation, centralization, technology enablement) and lead change initiatives.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment between global finance transformation initiatives and local compliance needs.

Collaboration & Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal finance, tax, and operational teams regarding external compliance services.
• Provide visibility to leadership on service performance, risks, and improvement actions.
• Coordinate across multiple jurisdictions to ensure consistent service outcomes and strong governance standards.

Risk Management & Quality Assurance

• Oversee compliance risk assessments and ensure adequate internal controls are in place.
• Establish quality review mechanisms for service provider deliverables.
• Ensure documentation, audit trails, and reporting meet corporate standards and audit requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Taxation, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA, CTA, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.

Experience

•  
• 8–12+ years of experience in finance, statutory accounting, tax compliance, or related areas.
• Strong background in managing external service providers, shared service centers, or outsourced compliance services.
• Demonstrated experience working in multinational environments across multiple jurisdictions (EU region experience preferred).
• Proven track record in leading service transformation, process improvement, or governance initiatives.
• Familiarity with global compliance frameworks, IFRS, and regional GAAPs (especially EU jurisdictions).

Skills & Competencies

• Strong governance and vendor‑management skills; ability to hold external partners accountable.
• Excellent knowledge of statutory accounting, indirect and direct tax processes, and related compliance requirements.
• Analytical ability with attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work across cultures and time zones; experience coordinating services across 20+ countries.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.
• Change management mindset—comfortable improving processes, building new ways of working, and driving standardization.
• System proficiency in ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and compliance/tax reporting tools.
• English C1 or higher
