What the role is about

The Indirect Tax Specialist will join the Indirect Tax Team, which is part of the European Shared Service Center based in Prague. This role reports to the Head of Indirect Tax based in Amsterdam.

In this position, you will be responsible for indirect tax compliance in various jurisdictions (CZ, DE, FR, ES, IT, HU, and UK), and you will be engaged in various initiatives aimed at enhancing and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the indirect tax processes. Utilizing existing technology while also identifying and implementing new tax technology solutions when relevant. You will report to the Head of Indirect Tax based in Amsterdam.

What you will do

• Compilation and filing of various indirect tax declarations in multiple jurisdictions

• Take care of other regulatory reporting, such as the plastic packaging tax and the extended producer responsibility

• Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with internal business stakeholders

• Track legislation changes and assess potential impact on the business

• Contribute to process and systems improvements

• Act as a point of contact for local tax authorities and external indirect tax advisors

What you need to succeed

✅ Must-have requirements:

• University degree in Finance

• 3-5 years of demonstrated relevant experience in Indirect Taxes & Tax Technology

• Knowledge of ERP systems and of automated VAT Reporting Solutions

• Experienced user of MS Office, especially MS Excel

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

• Great communication skills, both in written and spoken forms

• Team player with the ability to work independently

• Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset

• Specialization in Taxes during university studies

• Experience working with SAP
