Product Certification Engineer for microscopes

We are looking for a new colleague who will be responsible for the technical and coordination aspects of the certification process for our electron microscopes, industrial CT systems, and other products.

The position is suitable for specialists with experience in product certification who want to apply and further develop their knowledge in the international environment of a high-tech company.

Product certification at our company mainly covers electrical and mechanical safety, material compliance, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Our products are primarily used in Europe, North America, and Asia, and are gradually entering other global markets.

Internal development, quality, service, production technology, and purchasing teams are involved in certification projects, as are accredited testing laboratories, certification agencies, and regulatory authorities.

What You’ll Do

• Defining and clarifying requirements for introducing our devices to individual global markets
• Planning and managing certification programs and coordinating the activities of internal teams and external partners
• Ensuring and demonstrating device compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements (CE, LVD, EMC, NRTL, etc.)
• Testing equipment (safety, functional, EMC, and other tests) in internal laboratories or in cooperation with external testing laboratories
• Evaluating measurement results and creating certification protocols
• Creating and updating risk analyses in accordance with legislative requirements
• Modifying and creating product documentation for certification purposes
• Maintaining relationships with testing laboratories, certification agencies, and suppliers
• Monitoring changes in legislation and ensuring the long-term validity of certifications
• Internal awareness and training in relevant standards and regulations
• Communication in Czech and English

What You’ll Bring

• University degree in electrical engineering or another technical field
• Advanced knowledge and experience with testing, validation, and certification of technical equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of European legislation (CE), especially in the area of machine safety, EMC, LVD, etc.
• Knowledge of technical documentation (electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings).
• Knowledge of working with measuring equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
• Experience with preparing technical documentation and risk analyses
• User knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Word (data evaluation, technical reports)
• English at least at B2 level (reading and creating technical documentation, communicating with foreign partners)
• Independence, systematic approach, responsibility, and consistency in solving complex tasks
• Excellent communication skills, ability to formulate clear recommendations and conclusions (both written and oral)
• Analytical thinking
• Ability to work in a team
