About PAYMONT

PAYMONT is a licensed electronic money institution founded in 2020 and regulated by the Bank of Lithuania under EMI licence No. 80.

We provide payment services across the EU, including multi-currency payment accounts, currency exchange, individual IBANs, SEPA and SWIFT payments, and open banking functionality under PSD2.

We are a small and dynamic fintech company. Some processes are already in place, while others still need to be improved or built. Priorities can change quickly, so we are looking for someone who takes initiative, finds practical solutions and helps move things forward.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Compliance & Risk Manager with a degree in Law and initial practical experience in legal, compliance or regulatory matters who wants to further develop within fintech and payments.

You will work closely with our experienced Compliance and Risk Officer, support daily compliance activities and gradually take ownership of selected areas. This is not a purely administrative role – we need someone who asks the right questions, identifies gaps and follows tasks through to completion.

Part of our team, including legal support, is based in Vilnius, so you will use English regularly in meetings, written communication and internal documentation.

What you will be working on

• Supporting the development and implementation of compliance and risk management frameworks.
• Monitoring regulatory changes and assessing their impact on PAYMONT, our products and processes.
• Updating internal policies, procedures and controls.
• Participating in risk assessments and proposing practical mitigation measures.
• Supporting compliance reviews, audits and internal control testing.
• Identifying gaps and coordinating corrective actions with relevant teams.
• Preparing reports for management on risks, findings and remediation progress.
• Providing colleagues with day-to-day guidance on compliance and risk matters.
• Preparing and delivering internal compliance training.
• Cooperating with Operations, Payments, AML, Legal, IT and Management.
• Handling additional responsibilities defined by internal policies and regulatory requirements.

What we need from you

• A university degree in Law - needed
• At least two years of experience in compliance, risk management, regulatory affairs, internal controls or a related legal role.
• Experience from financial services, fintech, payments or another regulated industry is an advantage.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks, risk assessments, internal controls and regulatory monitoring.
• The ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical processes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a structured approach.
• The ability to manage several topics and communicate confidently with different stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset, reliability, discretion and high ethical standards.
• Practical experience with compliance or risk management tools is an advantage.
• English – fluent AND Czech/Slovak – advanced
• Onsite cooperation (at least 4x a week)

Onboarding and team

You will be onboarded by our experienced Compliance and Risk Officer, who will introduce you to our business model, regulatory obligations, internal policies and current priorities. He is supportive, approachable and always willing to explain the broader context.

The initial onboarding will take place onsite in our Prague office so you can properly understand our systems, processes and way of working.
