Description of Position

We are recruiting experienced Speaking Examiners or suitably qualified teachers to take on the role of Speaking Examiner (remote Assessor). The successful candidate will be responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a professional approach to assessment. They should be open to guidance and feedback, have access to a PC or laptop to fulfil examiner duties, and be able to conduct and assess examinations online in a professional and appropriate manner.

Professional requirements

• Proficiency in English at C1 level (minimum; certification required)
• Bachelor degree or equivalent
• A recognised language teaching qualification (TEFL / TESOL qualification or EFL / ESOL related or studies completed as part of an undergraduate/postgraduate course)
• Proof of substantial, relevant, teaching experience within the last 2 to 3 years, equivalent to at least 1,800 hours.

Specific duties

• Provide online availability for at least 50% of exam days per quarter
• Fulfil online examining assignments and reserve allocations
• Strong computer literacy, as this is a remote position
• Attend one face-to-face certification meeting per year
• Complete online certification (standardisation)
• Undergo regular monitoring
• Attend future training sessions (dates will be communicated)
