As Financial Controller at Mandarin Oriental, Vienna, you will be part of the Finance team and report directly to our Director of Finance.

• As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following duties:
• Support in managing, developing, and implementing financial controls and accounting procedures in line with company standards and applicable regulations
• Assist with the analysis and preparation of financial reports to identify opportunities to enhance profitability
• Actively support the Accounting Department to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes
• Oversee and co-manage the timely preparation of all financial statements, forecasts, analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Monitor revenues and expenditures, ensuring accurate posting in line with USALI and internal policies
• Support the implementation and monitoring of internal control mechanisms (e.g., procurement, cash handling, inventories, payroll)
• Contribute to budgeting, capital planning, and monthly forecasting through detailed analysis and provision of relevant KPIs
• Process payroll-related data and reports in collaboration with an external payroll provider

What we expect from you as Financial Controller:

• Solid professional experience in finance, preferably in hospitality; luxury segment experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and a structured, solution-oriented work approach
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting (P&L, balance sheets, forecasts, etc.)
• Proficiency in handling complex numerical and analytical data
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent MS Excel skills; experience with systems such as Opera/HMS, Sun, Moreton Bay, Hyperion, and Shiji is a plus

The minimum gross monthly salary for this position, as per the collective agreement, is €2,263.00.
We are open to offering a higher salary based on your qualifications and experience.
