About the Embassy/Trade Council of Denmark:
The Embassy of Denmark in Prague is a dynamic workplace that represents Denmark’s political, commercial and cultural relationship with the Czech Republic as well as commercial relations in Slovakia. We are approximately 15 employees at the embassy. The Trade Council in the Danish Embassy is the governmental export and investment promotion organisation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. The Trade Council in Central and Eastern Europe (TC CEE) covers Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia and Georgia with app. 30 trade advisors. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark promotes equality and diversity. Pracovní nabídka
The Danish Embassy in Prague is looking for a dedicated and dynamic student as a commercial assistant to the trade team at the Embassy. The assistant will be positioned in Prague and responsible for assisting the trade team with their activities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as participate in regional projects in Central Eastern Europe region (CEE).
The primary responsibility as a student is to support our senior commercial advisers at the Danish Embassy. The tasks of the position would include:
In the position you will be working closely with the commercial advisers in Prague and are expected to also collaborate on projects regionally. Some travel activity is expected.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled at a relevant tertiary education institution in the Czech Republic throughout the period of employment.
- The field of studies related to international relation, diplomacy, political science, business, management, and/or other commercially oriented graduate degree.
- A previous experience with business-related research, export promotion, or event management is an advantage.
- Ability to manage customer relations as well as plan and carry out various events.
- Understanding of public sector dynamics in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
- Fluency (C1) in English AND Czech/Slovak is a requirement. Proficiency in Scandinavian or other Central and Eastern European languages is an advantage.

Employment conditions
You will be hired at The Danish Embassy in Prague as a local employee and be a part of the embassy staff reporting directly to the Head of Trade in Prague. You will be employed with a temporary contract for 1 year with a possibility of extension. Working hours is 20 hours a week, which could be scheduled flexibly form Monday to Friday to fit the needs and requirements of your studies and the tasks of the Embassy. Salary according to qualifications within a public organisation and possibility of bonus for performance. Five weeks of paid annual leave and a flexible Danish working scheme. The job might require some traveling, especially, but not necessarily only, within the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Expected start
We expect that you could start 1 August 2026, or soon thereafter. Employment with the Embassy requires security clearance by the Danish Security and Intelligence Service.
