announces a selection procedure for the position of

Bursar of the Czech Technical University

Requirements:

• Master's degree in financial management, economics, management or law
• Experience managing a larger team of employees
• Negotiation and communication skills, open and creative approach
• Ability to systematically coordinate work in complex organizational units and capacity for independent creative problem-solving
• At least 5 years of experience in financial management and administration of a larger institution; experience in a university or other significant public institution is an advantage
• Knowledge of financial management and budgeting of larger institutions; experience with universities is an advantage
• Knowledge of the Higher Education Act and the Public Procurement Act
• Experience managing projects funded from public sources (investment projects, European projects) is an advantage
• Proficiency in information and communication technologies, advanced PC skills (report creation, project management)
• Civil and moral integrity
• Prerequisites for holding office pursuant to Act No. 451/1991 Coll.
• Ability to work fully in English

Bursar's responsibilities:

• The Bursar, pursuant to Section 16 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education, manages the financial operations and internal administration of CTU and represents the university to the extent determined by the Rector
• Manages CTU Rectorate departments: Economic and Financial, Economic Management and Controlling, Property Administration and CTU Archives, Administration of Special-Purpose Facilities
• Prepares the CTU budget proposal for the respective calendar year, collaborates with the Rector on budget methodology, prepares budget allocation, monitors budget implementation
• Responsible for economic and financial management of the university, prepares medium-term financial outlook and participates in strategic long-term development planning
• Oversees university property management
• Negotiates collective agreement proposals with trade unions
• Issues regulatory acts for economic and technical-operational matters across the university
• Performs supervisory activities in economic and administrative areas across all university units
• Manages occupational health, safety, and fire protection activities
