Senior Accounting Specialist

We are now looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist, Record to report to join our team in Ostrava, Czechia.

You will contribute to high-quality, standardized accounting execution, working within defined processes and controls, while gaining exposure to end-to-end finance operations in a global environment.

This position is ideal for professionals with approximately 5-10 years of relevant experience who are ready to take on greater responsibility and provide coaching in accounting, systems, and finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Independently execute advanced/complex accounting tasks within defined global processes and service scopes (incl. period-end-closing, reconciliations, controls).
• Perform monthly and quarterly reporting to the Group.
• Ensure the accuracy, compliance and consistency of accounting outputs in line with IFRS requirements.
• Collaborate with Regional Finance and other Finance Operations teams to ensure consistency, operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Initiate and drive process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives.
• Work with finance systems (e.g., SAP, OneStream) and related tools and utilize their usage to increase efficiency.
• Ensure observation of internal policies, controls, and working instructions to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
• Mentor and guide team members and other internal stakeholders
• Other tasks assigned by manager

Required Skills, Competencies, and Experience
 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent relevant higher education).
• Relevant work experience in accounting, finance, or shared services in multinational environment is considered as an advantage
• Solid understanding of end-to-end processes, accounting principles e.g. interrelationship between financial statements; advanced knowledge of IFRS is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and proficiency in managing complex financial and numerical data.
• Analytical and proactive problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Experience of process improvement and automation is considered as an advantage
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively in an international environment, guide and support teams
• Advanced knowledge in SAP and Excel is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
