Position Overview

Our Czech office serves as a key technical hub supporting customers across Europe, the Middle East, and India. Due to continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our team with an Application Engineer who enjoys combining hands-on technology, customer interaction, and international exposure.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build deep expertise in lasers and fiber-optic technologies, work with advanced measurement equipment, and become a trusted technical partner to customers operating at the forefront of optical technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and friendly customer support through email, teleconference and on-site visits.
• Repair and calibrate Santec’s test and measurement equipment. This includes visual and incoming inspections, diagnosis, repair and documentation of work performed.
• Be a trusted expert, provide training to customers on proper use of lasers and fiber optic devices as well as training on the use of Santec’s equipment and software.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
• Liaise closely with customers to identify market needs, propose improvements to enhance Santec’s product useability and maintain competitiveness.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Be inspired by working in an international environment and have the flexibility and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Familiarity with Python or other programming languages.
• Knowledge and experience with lasers and/or fiber optics would be an advantage.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English, at least B2 level
• Driving licence
