Back-end developer

We are a team of back-end and front-end developers working on an internal
company information system and related applications and we are looking for a new
back-end developer to join us. We do not require years of experience, but we
require the ability to work independently after some time.

Our back end is built on micro services written in Golang, using MariaDB and
Elasticsearch for the data layer with REST APIs and gRPC for communication. The
services run in Kubernetes. You would be mostly working on the APIs.

We can offer fairly flexible working hours (stand-up is at 11:00) and (after
trial period) full remote. Or we have an office (with shower!) near Main Train
station if you prefer. There are snacks and coffee in the kitchen.
Additionally, you will be able to influence the future technical direction of
the platform, if you are interested. The team is full of nice people and you
will have plenty of opportunities to learn.

What we need from you:
- Back-end programming experience (Golang, C, C++, Rust or similar)
- Knowledge of golang or willingness to learn it.
- Experience with REST APIs, for example you know what HTTP is and how to use
cURL or a similar tool.
- Ability to use GNU/Linux as your developer machine.
- Some experience with Git, we are using it to version our code.
- Some experience with SQL, at least to the level of SELECT, WHERE, JOIN.
Nothing too crazy.
- Fluent Czech or Slovak, since internal company communication is in Czech.

What would be nice if you had:
- Knowledge of PHP, since one of our applications is still using it.
- Experience with Elasticsearch.
- Experience with containerization.
