Role Overview

As Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in the success of G&P in the country. You will be responsible for the operational delivery of all existing contracts and will support key strategic initiatives, including:

• Growing top-line revenue
• Business diversification and margin enhancement
• Developing a high-performing organisation
• Managing the effective and profitable delivery of Quality Managed Services to clients
• Developing and delivering efficient processes and reporting

You will report to the General Manager and be an active member of the Senior Management team. This is a hands-on role, leading both direct and functional reports, demonstrating critical thinking and leadership by example.

Direct Reports:

• Plant Managers and Coordinators
• Business Managers and Coordinators

Functional Interfaces:

• Sales Manager
• Quality Manager
• Finance Manager
• Administration Team

You will be responsible for delivering country operational contracts and BMI targets, achieving efficiency and quality metrics, gross margins, and effective cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Operations:

• Ensure operational performance meets company standards, legislation, and G&P governance guidelines
• Manage operational contracts with focus on process improvement, resource planning, and efficiency
• Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and follow-ups to exceed expectations
• Respond promptly to audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Collaborate with HR to recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing team
• Work with the Group Quality Director on QTRAK development, training, and rollout
• Coordinate with Administration and Finance to ensure efficient processes, invoicing, and cashflow management
• Stay updated on operational and market trends to maintain competitive advantage

Sales:

• Develop strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and decision-makers
• Focus on business growth within key accounts and explore adjacent opportunities with Sales & Marketing

Commercial & Finance:

• Responsible for P&L of contracts and achieving country budget targets
• Ensure accurate and timely forecasting in line with group strategy
• Support quotations, presentations, client visit reports, and administrative control
• Develop and implement gross margin improvement plans
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Based at the G&P country head office
• Operations covering the entire Czech Republic
• Extensive travel to attend group or client meetings
• Proven experience in the Automotive industry (Aerospace & Engineering experience is a plus)
• Strong English skills and good communication skills in Czech
