The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Prague is the representative office of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The position is within the Science and Technology Division, which represents the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), the central governmental body responsible for science and technology policy in Taiwan.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or above
Languages: Fluent in Czech and English (both verbal and written)
Professional Skills: familiarity with Microsoft Office and internet searching
Personal Skills: Highly organized, good communication skills, good time management, ability to work in a team but also independently, responsible, and willing to work in a multicultural environment
Additional: Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Chinese and a driving license ‘B’ are advantages, but not requirements

Job Responsibilities

Act as the Czech-speaking contact person for the Science and Technology Division and secure Czech-English translation
Coordination of multilateral cooperation in research, development and innovations.
Prepare documents and responses to inquiries and requests for information regarding academic, scientific, technological, R&D and other related issues
Prepare meetings and handle other correspondence with the Czech Government, research institutes, universities, etc.
Gather scientific and technological news
Coordinate delegation visits, plan and manage events and other related projects
Assist the Science and Technology Division with administrative tasks

About the Job

A full-time position (40 hours a week)
Fixed-term employment with the possibility of extension
Starting from February 3st, 2026
