What we are looking for:

We are looking for a new member to join our team. The hotel’s management consists of a small group of professionals from the Czech Republic.

The position focuses on guest relations management. Your primary responsibility is to ensure guest satisfaction from the moment they arrive, throughout their stay, and until their departure. You will welcome guests, introduce them to the resort, and explain everything they need to know. During their stay, you will interact with them regularly in a friendly, natural way—listening carefully, reading between the lines, and identifying opportunities to enhance their experience.

Based on what you learn about each guest, you will coordinate with other departments (Food & Beverage, Reception, Housekeeping, etc.) to create thoughtful and personalized moments. You will also work closely with a local colleague who will support you in guest communication. Your main mission is simple yet powerful: make our guests happy and delight them beyond their expectations. This role is essential to the resort because our personalized approach is what we are known for—and what drives our continued success.

Living in Zanzibar and working in one of the island’s best resorts is a unique experience. However, delivering exceptional standards requires dedication and hard work. A typical day starts in the morning and ends after guests finish their dinner. Evenings are spent engaging with guests—having small conversations, sharing a moment at the bar, or joining them for a glass of wine. Our goal is always the same: to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.

This position is for someone truly special. Although the resort employs around one hundred people, only four are European managers. This means that everything you do will have a meaningful impact on the overall guest experience and the resort’s success. Job responsibilities:

• Communication with guests
• Understanding what mood and level of satisfaction they currently are
• Finding the solutions to make guests happier
• Initiate and coordinate actions amongst the other departments
• Being “friend and buddy” for the guests
• Reporting the status of the guests to the hotel manager
• Sharing important information about the guests with other departments
• Managing a small team of guest relation managers who will be your peers

What is needed for this position:

What is nice to have, but is not mandatory:

• Experience in the tourism industry
• Experience with the African environment

• Two weeks of complimentary stay at our resort for your family
• Salary of 1750 USD Net with potential increase after a 3-month probation period
