We are seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Data Engineer who enjoys ownership, thrives on complex challenges, and knows when to innovate—and when to leverage proven solutions. In this role, you will combine strong technical expertise with clear communication to turn business needs into reliable, scalable data architecture.

Which challenges are expecting you:

• Become a key member of our AI Shared Services team, designing and developing data architecture frameworks aligned with business goals
• Identify opportunities to optimize data infrastructure and processes supporting our ML solutions
• Build and maintain data processing and ETL pipelines
• Design and manage data models, schemas and metadata repositories to ensure quality and accessibility
• Integrate data from a wide range of internal and external sources
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into effective data solutions
• Implement data governance standards ensuring compliance and high data quality
• Stay up to date with trends in data engineering and emerging technologies
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other data engineers
• Write clean, production-ready, well-tested code

Your desired profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or similar role
• Fluent English (German / Czech / Slovak are an advantage)
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and optimization techniques
• Solid understanding of data modeling (dimensional, relational, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and building data pipelines
• Deep experience with cloud data platforms (preferably GCP; AWS or Azure also welcome)
• Experience with modern data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
• Advanced Python skills (OOP, design patterns, testing, best practices, data libraries)
• Experience working with APIs and integrating data from diverse sources
• Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Dagster or Airflow
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
• Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and deployment tools (Helm, Jenkins)
• Exposure to BI and data visualization tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy)
• Experience developing or operating machine learning applications
