A fast-growing international pharmaceutical organisation is investing heavily into modernising and expanding its API and chemical development capabilities. The company is establishing a new molecular platform, strengthening early-stage development, and building a high-impact technical organisation that will shape its long-term competitive advantage.

We are now looking for an experienced R&D leader who can take ownership of this transformation.

What you will drive

• Technology & Innovation Strategy

You will co-create and execute the roadmap for a new molecular / API development platform with strong executive support.

• High-impact R&D Projects

Own end-to-end delivery — from feasibility and concept design to development, scale-up, tech transfer and successful launch.

• Team Leadership & Capability Building

Grow and mentor a specialised R&D team, set processes, build best practices and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.

• Infrastructure & Investment

The organisation is heavily investing in new equipment, laboratories, digitalisation and automation — you will shape how these capabilities are used.

Portfolio Ownership - Manage priorities, risks, timelines, budgets and long-term development initiatives that have direct impact on the business.

Who we are looking for

• A senior R&D Project Manager, R&D Lead or Head of R&D with strong experience in API development, organic/medicinal chemistry, process chemistry, CMC or related fields.
• Proven track record leading complex technology development projects from concept through to transfer.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and ability to build structure in dynamic environments.
• Strategic thinking with a hands-on understanding of chemistry, development workflows and GMP context.
