We are Global Minded, a private bilingual Czech-English primary school in Prague 6.
For the past nine years, we’ve been growing into a trusted choice for families who value high-quality, innovative bilingual education that develops children both academically and personally.

We are now looking for an Immersive English-speaking Class Teacher to join our vibrant team and take shared responsibility for our combined 4th & 5th grade class.
This role involves teaching a range of primary subjects in English – not English as a subject, but teaching through English together with a tandem teacher and in close collaboration with the Czech class teacher.

Who we are

We’re a team of teachers who believe that education should be meaningful, inspiring, individualized and holistic.
Our lessons combine hands-on learning, work in small-group setting on stations, independent work, games, project work, trips, excursions, outdoor teaching with very limited use of traditional lessons/frontal teaching, All guided by respect, curiosity, and joy in learning, inspiring and discovering.

What you’ll do

• Teach a range of primary school subjects in English (literacy, maths, science, social studies, ICT, projects, arts, music…).
• Work in a tandem-teaching model with a Czech tandem teacher, sharing responsibility for planning, instruction, and student progress with Czech tandem teacher and Czech class teacher.
• Bring creativity and energy into daily learning through projects, experiments, games, individual learning content and challenges.
• Create/produce/use interactive, hands-on materials, resources, and teaching aids
• Communicate in person with colleagues, office, parents...
• Assess regularly and individually the progress of the children...
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across the bilingual programme and the school.
• Contribute to a warm, respectful classroom culture and open communication with parents.

What we offer

• Salary: 50,000 - 55,000 CZK NET/month (depending on experience and qualifications), with annual salary growth.
• Balanced schedule: teaching 3 days per week (contact days) and 2 days for preparation, planning, and professional development. We believe exceptionnal quality teaching needs time to plan, think, create, and reflect.
• Smaller class sizes (max. 25 students per combined class, always 2 teachers in class).
• One preparation day per week (after onboarding and if mutually satisfied) may be taken as home office.
• Full administrative support – you teach, plan, create and we handle logistics.
• Professional development and training we organize different trainings and team buildings often and fully support the overal teachers self-development
• Paid Prague transport card (Lítačka), daily lunch, great coffee, tea & chocolate on site…
• Laptop for personal and professional use.

Who we’re looking for

You’re someone who:

• Has a degree in education (primary, secondary, or related field) or is currently completing studies.
• Has at least 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• English is your native language.
• Has experience or confidence in teaching across the primary curriculum in English, (not only English as a second/foreign language).
• Use or is ready to use modern teaching approach – gamification, individualization, technologies, integration of different subjects together etc…
• Enjoys working collaboratively and flexibly with colleagues and students of different ages, levels and needs. In a small team we help each other and we do it naturally and with a joy.
• Is creative, proactive, and open-minded, with a “can do” attitude.
• Understands teaching as a professional service to families – ensuring quality, continuity, and reliability for every child.
• Brings consistency, integrity, and positive energy into the classroom every day.
• Can start soon, no later then November 2025.

We welcome teachers with international experience or backgrounds from diverse educational environments.

About our approach

• Our timetable blends integrated learning blocks – we move smoothly from one subject or activity to another.
• Classes (contact days ofr teacher) run from 8:30 to 14:30
• Teachers typically teach three full days per week and have two days dedicated to preparation, teamwork, and professional growth. This rhythm gives space for creativity, planning, and maintaining the high quality our programme is known for.
• We apply formative assessment and self-evaluation with students. So it requires high assessment and writing skills.
• We combine academic focus with the development of key life skills, independence, and teamwork.
