BMW Group is establishing a new Global Logistics Center near Ostrava — a strategic hub that will play a key role in supplying BMW plants worldwide.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Logistics Process Specialist (m/f/d) to support the implementation of BMW’s cutting-edge logistics and IT solutions in a newly built international environment.

As part of the core logistics team, you will act as a key link between operations, IT development and external logistics providers — driving process excellence, digitalization and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

You will start your journey with training in Germany, gaining hands-on experience and deep insight into BMW’s global logistics standards. Back in Ostrava, you will be part of the founding team launching and developing the new logistics site.

You will

• Act as the main contact for the logistics service provider regarding packaging, goods receiving and shipping operations.
• Analyze and optimize logistics processes and systems in cooperation with BMW’s central process and IT teams.
• Supervise SAP WM/EWM logistics processes.
• Monitor operations and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure process compliance and efficiency.
• Lead or support implementation projects such as new customer-supplier integrations.
• Prepare and test user stories in agile teams, from concept to go-live.
• Create documentation, conduct user training, and support system rollouts and stabilization phases.
• Maintain close contact with key users across BMW’s global supply centers and provide local support.

What you bring

• University degree (Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics or similar) or similar professional experience.
• Professional experience in logistics or process management, ideally with SAP WM/EWM.
• Additional knowledge of SAP MM/SD/TM modules is an advantage.
• Experience in Lean Management or Value-Oriented Production Systems (WPS) beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, structured and solution-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in MS Office and agile tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Fluent English and Czech or Slovak (German is an advantage).
• Willingness to travel to Germany for training.
