Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Accountant in Prague for our international team in Switzerland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. The focus of this position is on working with the Financial Manager and the operations teams ensuring that all financial documents are processed and completed in due time and supporting the definition and improvement of our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
• Accurately process all incoming invoice documents and ensure the finance system is up to date and complete at all times
• Document processing: processing of purchasing documents onto Odoo including supplier invoices, employee expenses, and debit notes. Ensuring that processing is complete & accurately coded
• Participate in monthly and year-end closing processes
• Prepare internal financial reports, including P&L statements, cash flow analysis, and balance sheets
• Monitor budgets, track expenses, and assist with cost control initiatives
• Maintain accurate financial records for audits and compliance
• Coordinate with operations to align financial planning with logistics activities
• Support payroll processing and statutory filings (VAT, tax, etc.)
• Recommend process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or similar) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Previous accounting experience (logistics or service industry preferred)
• Understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulations
• General proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Odoo) and MS Excel
• High attention to detail, integrity, and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written)
