Position Overview:

As a Documentation Specialist in our 4PL Control Tower in Prague, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of transport documentation for our global manufacturing customers. You will work closely with customers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and internal stakeholders to ensure all transport documents are correctly prepared and delivered on time.

This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a structured working style, and strong communication skills in an international logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret shipping instructions from customers to prepare or validate draft transport documents (e.g., Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, CMR).
• Verify that transport document drafts issued by suppliers (shipping lines, freight forwarders, carriers) accurately reflect the customer’s instructions.
• Ensure that final transport documents are correct, compliant, and shared with customers within required deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve any documentation discrepancies or delays.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation history within the Transport Management System (TMS).
• Support process improvements related to documentation workflows and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

• EU citizen or work permit for Czech Republic.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding, preferably with a focus on documentation or export operations.
• Solid understanding of international shipping processes (ocean and air freight).
• Knowledge of Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, and CMR document requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under time pressure.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of additional European languages (e.g., Czech or German) is an advantage.
• Experience in 4PL, 3PL, or Control Tower environments is a plus.
