Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Control Tower Manager to join our dynamic operations team in Prague. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing a team of 5–15 full-time employees (FTEs) within our Logistics Control Tower. The successful candidate will ensure seamless execution of logistics operations, drive process improvements, and support our mission of delivering best-in-class supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5–15 logistics professionals in day-to-day control tower operations.
· Perform daily operational tasks on behalf of the team members when needed.
· Manage end-to-end shipment visibility, exception handling, and escalation management across multiple clients and regions.
· Ensure operational KPIs and SLAs are met and continuously improved.
· Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, carriers, and global logistics partners.
· Support the line manager in implementing process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives.
· Analyze operational data and provide regular performance and status reports.
· Develop performance goals for the team and team members
· Analize employee performance data and together with the Operations Manager conduct the annual performance review.
· Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer excellence.
Qualifications:
EU citizen or work permit for Czech Republic.
Minimum education bachelor’s degree or specific vocational Diploma in Transport and Logistics
Minimum 5 years of experience in ocean freight logistics or related supply chain functions.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a team lead or manager role is a must.
Strong understanding of international shipping processes, Incoterms, and documentation.
Proficient in logistics systems and MS Office; experience with TMS or visibility platforms is a plus.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Fluent in English; Czech or other languages are an advantage.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
