Are you ready to shape the future of next-generation therapeutics?
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to head an R&D team developing innovative oligonucleotide-based active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). This is a unique opportunity to drive breakthrough science from early-stage development through scale-up and GMP manufacturing, and to play a key role in building one of the most exciting drug development pipelines in Central Europe.

What you will do

• Lead a high-performing R&D team focused on oligonucleotide synthesis, purification, and analytical development.
• Oversee process development and scale-up from lab to pilot and manufacturing scale, ensuring alignment with CMC and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analytical, MSAT, quality, regulatory) to deliver on project milestones from discovery to clinical production.
• Define scientific strategy, identify and implement cutting-edge technologies, and position the team as a global innovation hub in the field of nucleic acid therapeutics.
• Represent R&D in global discussions, contribute to filings, and support interactions with regulatory authorities.

What we are looking for

• Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in oligonucleotides, nucleic acids, or peptide R&D, ideally with exposure to both upstream synthesis and downstream purification/analytics.
• Solid knowledge of CMC development, GMP standards, and regulatory expectations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills in English or Czech; experience with cross-cultural/global projects is a plus.
