QuidelOrtho is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Fixed Assets Accountant to join our growing EMEA Shared Services team in Prague!

What you'll be doing in your new role:

• Global ownership of fixed assets.
• Creating assets in the ERP system (i.e. Instrument capitalizations), supplemental CAR creation, Updating the Internal Order Budget, Creating a Non-Capital Internal Order.
• Depreciation of assets, posting and depreciation analysis for all entities, Asset Transfers / Asset Disposals / Asset Sales.
• Fixed Asset Rollforwards – global template preparation and distribution, review all entities submissions for completeness and accuracy, compilation into the global RF, update of the cashflow and instrument information.
• Fixed Asset Reconciliations, Fixed Asset Reporting (Capital Spend Report, JB Depreciation Report, Instrument depreciation by cost center, FA Disposal Report), Audit Requests.

The individual:

Fixed Assets Compliance:

• Taking decisions regarding the fixed assets policies.
• Ensure global compliance with US GAAP reporting standards.
• Interpret and apply QuidelOrtho fixed assets policy to finance community.

Fixed Assets Lifecycle Management:

• Oversee the acquisition, tracking, depreciation, revaluation, and disposal of fixed assets across global entities.

Audit & Controls:

• Comply with QuidelOrtho internal control requirements – SOX, IPE.
• Cooperate with internal and external audits regarding compliance with internal controls.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with US fixed assets stakeholders – corporate controllership, operations finance, supply chain, IT, R&D, Tax.
• Advisory role for other functions regarding the Fixed Assets within the QuidelOrtho organization.
• Coordinate with regional teams to ensure consistent asset tracking and reporting.

Reporting:

• Provide regular reports for fixed assets area – capex, roll forward reports, cash flow support, depreciation forecast etc.

System & Process Optimization:

• Lead SAP fixed assets projects, master data updates, mass data changes.
• Recommend improvements to asset management procedures and internal controls.

Manage US Fixed Asset Process:

• Supervise two fixed asset accountants processing daily transactions for five north American entities – capitalizations, disposals, transfers, month end tasks.
