a suitable candidate on the position of:
Job description:
This role is crucial in managing and supporting the operational technology (OT) systems within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in IT support, manufacturing systems, and process improvement, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional support.
- Oversee the administration and support of OT systems, including PLCs, SCADA, MES, and other manufacturing control systems
- Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of OT systems within the manufacturing environment
- Provide technical support for IT systems, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
- Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner
- Monitor IT systems to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the manufacturing environment
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement technology solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams to implement IT projects and initiatives. including participation in on-call duties
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and drive consensus on IT decisions
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT systems, including system configurations, standards, and guidelines
- Provide training and support to manufacturing teams on IT systems and best practices.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect against threats, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Respond to and resolve IT and OT incidents promptly, minimizing impact on operations
Requirements:
- Associates/Technical degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or Relevant Practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, with a focus on manufacturing systems and process improvement
- Strong technical skills in managing and supporting OT systems, including PLCs, SCADA, MES, and other control systems
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving OT issues within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams
- Strong language skills in both spoken and written English, as the position is part of a global team
